God’s Little World: A Cooperative Research Campus for Financial Empowerment

Step into God’s Little World, a building-based cooperative research initiative designed to introduce low-income communities to alternative economic systems that foster financial empowerment and shared prosperity.

Originally inspired by the structure and charm of Venice, Italy, this immersive economic simulation features 20+ fully operational “businesses”—including a bank and a real-food café—where everything is real except the money (which looks strikingly authentic!).

Now, as a permanent site in Fort Worth, Texas, God’s Little World is taking shape on a multi-lot campus made possible with the support of Bishop Delaney. After 20+ years of development from an empty lot, the campus will engage participants in hands-on simulations of cooperative financial models. Inspired by Pope Francis’ advocacy for cooperatives in Laudato Si’, the initiative puts people over profit, helping neighbors move from financial stress toward clear, practical next steps.

How It Works

  • Interactive Economic Simulations — Experience cooperative business models firsthand.

  • Research-Backed Learning — Real-world insights on financial stress and economic alternatives.

  • Community Dialogue — Explore cooperative economics as a practical, systemic solution.

🚀 Launching in the Diocese of Fort Worth, Easter 2026 — providing practical exposure to cooperative finance models and helping low-income individuals and communities build a realistic pathway to economic stability and growth across the Fort Worth–Dallas area.
